Most of the Standing Bear Lake upgrades are finished and the refill has begun. This project was started earlier this year and we have been posting on the progress. We’re hoping for more moisture in the area so that it can be mostly full by spring. We took several aerial photos highlighting the newly completed features of the lake.

Hello, thank you for your beautiful imagery of Standing Bear Lake. I live next to the lake and I’m curious if you have any more recent pictures that would give an idea of how full the lake was in the last couple weeks? The lake is completely full and then some from today’s storm and I was trying get an idea of the scale of the storm for comparison.
Sorry, I missed the alert that you had posted this. Unfortunately, I don’t have anything that would have shown the contrast of the rapid refil of the lake. I do have a series of posts during the lake renovation that I’ll link to below.
