Our work occasionally takes us near airports. We make sure to collaborate closely with the FAA to guarantee our flights are both safe and compliant with regulations. On this occasion, we were on a nearby site to capture pre-construction aerial photos for our client. Can you guess which airport this is?
No matter how old you get, it’s still exciting to watch something explode! We were asked by one of our construction partners to shoot a bridge demolition and we jumped (or should I say flew 😉) at the chance! We worked with the FAA to allow us to shoot in temporarily restricted airspace. Our client had enough to think about with the demo so we took on the responsibility of a safe and legal flight so they didn’t have to. We set up two camera angles, with one on the ground and one in the air. A piece of the bridge even whizzed past our drone! This was definitely one of our most memorable shoots!
Most of the Standing Bear Lake upgrades are finished and the refill has begun. This project was started earlier this year and we have been posting on the progress. We’re hoping for more moisture in the area so that it can be mostly full by spring. We took several aerial photos highlighting the newly completed features of the lake.

We’ve had so many wonderful opportunities to film in Omaha and the surrounding areas. We’ve collected a few of our favorites including real estate, construction and event photography. We’ve added some more photos of the progress being made on the lake renovations. Considerable progress on the boat ramp, rock shoals and fish habitat can be seen in the following set of aerial photos taken on Sept 11th.

We’ve added some more photos of the progress being made on the lake renovations. These shots show south parking closed as well as part of the walking trail on the south side. Despite the dry weather, vegetation continues to grow in the lakebed. It’s exciting to see things coming along.

We took to the skies this morning to check out the status of Standing Bear Lake. It’s sad to see it drained but we are looking forward to all the upgrades! Check back with us to keep a bird’s eye view of the project over the summer.

Even though we are all grown up, watching big machines like this still brings out the kid in us! We have been to numerous job sites over the past few months capturing video of the job site as well as a great deal of heavy equipment hard at work. Getting to see these rigs up close and from the air is still a thrill for us. We just wanted to share a few quick clips.
