From Above the Stage: Shadow Ridge Music Festival 2025

This month, we were at the Shadow Ridge Music Festival. This annual event brought together over 5,000 fans for a memorable night of live music. We got some great shots both from the ground and from the air.

Our client recently shared one of our favorite photos: a nighttime aerial shot taken from high above and behind the stage. From this vantage point, while you can’t see the band—you can see thousands of people enjoying the heart pounding music.

For us, concerts like this are especially rewarding to shoot; and it’s hard to call it “work” when your evening comes with a live soundtrack from world-class musicians.

As always, we’re grateful to be a small part of such a successful event and are already looking forward to seeing it grow in 2026. Until then, we’ll keep enjoying the view from above and sharing the moments like this that showcase the amazing community we live in.

Fireworks at Memorial Park 2025

We had the privilege of capturing the annual Memorial Park Fireworks Show from the skies above Omaha. This beloved community event never disappoints.

Thousands of bystanders gathered across the park grounds, enjoying both the free concert and the spectacular fireworks display. Families, friends, and visitors from across Omaha came together in celebration, laughter, and awe. It’s events like this that remind us why we love doing what we do—documenting moments that bring communities together.

The calm winds on Friday evening were a gift, long exposure aerial shots require stability in the air to create crisp, vivid images. There’s a certain kind of magic in seeing the sky light up from above—an experience we love sharing through our photography.

Enjoy this shot of an unforgettable night. And if you’re looking to capture your next event from a whole new angle, we’re just a drone flight away.

On Final Approach

Our work occasionally takes us near airports. We make sure to collaborate closely with the FAA to guarantee our flights are both safe and compliant with regulations. On this occasion, we were on a nearby site to capture pre-construction aerial photos for our client.  Can you guess which airport this is?

Once in a lifetime shot

Sometimes we like to just get out and shoot for fun. We took the opportunity to get images of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS.  Don’t worry if you missed it, it’ll be around again another 80,000 years 😉

Boom!

No matter how old you get, it’s still exciting to watch something explode! We were asked by one of our construction partners to shoot a bridge demolition and we jumped (or should I say flew 😉) at the chance! We worked with the FAA to allow us to shoot in temporarily restricted airspace. Our client had enough to think about with the demo so we took on the responsibility of a safe and legal flight so they didn’t have to. We set up two camera angles, with one on the ground and one in the air. A piece of the bridge even whizzed past our drone! This was definitely one of our most memorable shoots!

Weather in Omaha

A stormy night in the Omaha Metro area. This spectacular looking shelf cloud was approaching the Standing Bear Lake area around 9:30 PM.

We had just enough time before the wind picked up to get this photo.

Elkhorn Tornado Damage – April 26, 2024

Words just aren’t adequate enough to describe the devastating news of tornadoes that swept through Elkhorn, Nebraska. Our hearts, along with others across the state and nation go out to those affected by tonight’s storm. We Nebraskans are a hearty bunch and will undoubtedly come together to rebuild with strength and resilience.
